Thanks, my friend! With this much build-up I’m kind of afraid that, when the anserws finally come, they won’t be underwhelming, haha I really hope I don’t fuck his up.
Everyone seems to have secrets. Oliver, Trevor, Lily and John Doe. What lies ahead? On the edge of my seat as well. By the way the description of the financiers made me want to head to the BK and find one!
You have a great talent for setting the scene, whether it be the bakery or the hospital. Nooo not the cliffhanger. I’m really liking Lily and still distrustful of Trevor. Haven’t even properly met John Doe yet and I’m already pulling him.
Yeeeeees, the cliffhanger! Hahaha Thanks CJ! I have a lot of fun writing the settings you mentioned. I could just say that Oliver got to the hospital and took the elevator to the cardiothoracic ward, but I'm a very visual reader. I like to picture the world while I'm reading, so those little details, what he's seeing, who's doing what, the atmosphere around him, are really important to me.
I thought that we were going to learn Trevor’s secret in this chapter! ARGH!!!!
You’re keeping me on the edge of my seat, Jack! Great writing as usual. 🙂
Hahaha Sorry, in that comment I meant we’ll be finding out some of Trevor’s reasons in the chapter I was writing, chapter 8.
So good, Jack! Stupid Trevor cheating on Ollie the same day John Doe walks in the door. 😂😜
Thanks, Til! Trevor is dropping the ball, right? Hahaha
Well, you certainly went out of your way to imply that. 😜 But he's probably doing something else like stalking out Jack Kerouac there.
Thanks for keeping us hanging for a whole another week. You do have a knack for intrigue my friend.

Your detail in each scene sets the stage for the dialogue and characters. Really excellent work. Love this story.
I'm with Kevin and CJ--I love the additional details! They help make the city feel like a living and breathing place.
This big man sure knows how to make an entrance, and he's also apparently great at disappearing acts 😁. Really excited for the next chapter!
Also, my thoughts on Trevor have gone from "curious to what is going on with him" to "disapproving, he's better get his act together".
