I also liked the main character, Matthias, and how he can't fight his demons, and the stress and depression of the apocalypse drove him into a situation where he wants to get pleasure through sex and escape from reality and this terrible world and the situation in it (he has become like a sex addict) who wants more pleasure, and the more he gets, the more furious the subsequent desire and satisfaction of this desire becomes. I also like that the character is more DILF and looks like a masculine alpha, but in fact he is not. I don't even know who will be first, Matthias or Connor? Who will make the first move?
